ABS material

ABS (formerly known as acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer) is a common type of household FDM wire rod.

Temperature:

The printing temperature of this material is 210~240 ℃, and the temperature of the heating plate is above 80 ℃. The glass transition temperature of ABS (the temperature at which this plastic begins to soften) is 105 ℃.

Print performance:

In terms of material properties, from the perspective of the hot end, ABS plastic is quite easy to print. No matter what kind of extruder is used, the material will be extruded smoothly without fear of clogging or solidification. However, the steps after squeezing are a little difficult. This kind of material has the characteristic of shrinking when it is cold, and will fall off and hang in the air from the heating plate, causing problems. In addition, if the printed object is very high, sometimes the whole layer will peel off. Therefore, ABS printing can not be without heating plate.

ABS can print very fast, and can also set the instrument to greatly increase the speed of pumping back.

strength:

As long as the printing is carried out at a proper temperature and the layers of materials are firmly adhered, the strength of ABS will become quite high.

ABS is soft, even under pressure, it will only bend and will not break.

Applicable scenarios:

ABS is suitable for making articles that may fall, be used in high temperature environment, or be used in a rude way. Such as knife handle, mobile phone rack, mobile phone protective shell, toys, wedding rings (black ABS products). In short, almost everything applies.
