SLS printing advantages

SLS Advantages:

1. Wide range of materials can be used. Materials available include nylon, polystyrene and other polymers, iron, titanium, alloy and other metals, ceramics, coated sand, etc;

2. High molding efficiency. Because SLS technology does not completely melt the powder, but only sinters it, so the manufacturing speed is fast;

3. High utilization rate of materials. Unsintered materials can be reused with less material waste and lower cost;

4. No support is required. As the unburned powder can support the cavity and cantilever of the model, it is not necessary to design additional support structures like FDM and SLA processes, and prototypes and components with complex shapes can be directly produced;

5. Wide range of applications. Due to the diversity of forming materials, different forming materials can be selected to make sintered parts for different purposes, which can be used to manufacture prototype design models, mold master molds, investment castings, casting shells and cores.
